Nigerian Prisons to Recruit 6000 Personnel in 2019

The Civil Defence, Fire, Immigration, and Prisons Service Board (CDFIPB) are responsible for creating policy guidelines for the NPS.

They are inviting applications from suitably qualified candidates for full-time appointments to fill existing vacancies in NPS.

This a Federal government Recruitment with the aim of boosting workforce needs in the Nigerian Prison Service.

The recruitment exercise has been approved by the president of Nigeria, Mohammadu Buhari.

Both higher and lower officers will be recruited to make up the 6000 slots available in the 2019 NPS Recruitment.

After the online application, the Nigerian Prisons Service will have to choose the number of candidates to be selected per category based on the needs of the service.

The official portal for the recruitment has been launched and application is currently ongoing. Deadline for application has been made known too.

Endeavor to register and on time to avoid late hour rush or non-registration of interested applicants.

Now, we are going to give you the application guide because we want you all to be successful. But in as much as we want all to succeed, not all applicants will make it.

It will be survival of the fittest just like the Nigerian police recruitment. 133,324 applicants were shortlisted for Police screening but only 6000 will be recruited.

This will happen to NPS too, thousands of people will apply but at the end, NPS will sieve the application and shortlist the best.

The shortlisted candidates will have to go for physical verification or screening before the final list of 6000 successful applicants will be released.

To be successful in the 2019 NPS Recruitment, you must follow the below guideline and success tips.

Firstly, you will have to check the age requirement. People who did not reach 18 years but applied will be automatically disqualified.

People who are above 30 years but applied will also be disqualified. If you decide to forge your documents and apply, you will be screened out during the Physical screening.

Now, after checking the age requirements, you will have to know the category you are applying for.

Only Assistant Cadre is for non-graduates and they require a minimum of SSCE, GCE or NECO.

Go through the categories and their requirements very well before applying.

Another thing you have to pay attention to is the fitness test and chest/height measurement.
